National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits are issued to enforce regulatory limits for pollutants discharged into waters of the United States. According to the EPA; The Clean Water Act prohibits anybody from discharging pollutants through a point source into a water of the United States unless they have an NPDES permit. The permit will contain limits on what can be discharged, monitoring and reporting requirements, and other provisions to ensure that the discharge does not hurt water quality. The permit translates the general requirements of the Clean Water Act into specific requirements tailored to the operations of the entity discharging pollutants.
First Environmental Laboratories, Inc. will be able to assist in entering your data into the state NetDMR system. NetDMR is a Web-based tool that allows National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permittees to electronically sign and submit their discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) to EPA's Integrated Compliance Information System (ICIS-NPDES).
